We conducted a five-day awareness program at various villages in Senapati district to promote children’s health and education. Representatives from district child health programs, including ASHA workers, Anganwadi staff, and primary school nurses, participated in the workshops.
The program was facilitated by Mr. Shing Jerome, who trained nominated representatives from each village on the importance of balanced nutrition for children under twelve. Participants learned about malnutrition, common childhood diseases, and strategies to improve children’s health.
The training also emphasized the importance of equal education for boys and girls, highlighting the literacy gap in the district and encouraging parents to prioritize education for all children. After the initial training, the representatives carried the knowledge to village levels, spreading awareness about children’s nutrition and education.
