Maria Bianchi Social Care Ministry

Our work creates lasting change by empowering vulnerable communities, advancing women’s rights, promoting education and livelihoods, and building a peaceful and inclusive society.

Established in 2005, Maria Bianchi Social Care Ministry is a non-profit organization founded by Kina Lucy and Psiina Elizabeth Rang in Senapati, one of the most backward districts of Manipur, where 97% of the population are tribals. The community has long faced social unrest, economic hardship, and gender discrimination, challenges that deeply affect women and children. In response, the organization was founded to uplift women, promote gender equality, protect tribal rights, and restore peace and harmony for future generations.
The organization strives to reach out to the weaker sections of society, irrespective of caste, creed, tribe, or political affiliation. It provides care and shelter for destitute persons, the aged, and the differently abled, while also conducting vocational and technical training programs to empower youth through employment and entrepreneurship. The organization actively creates awareness on issues such as drug addiction, prostitution, HIV/AIDS, and other social evils, and implements literacy programs in rural areas.
Committed to environmental protection and human rights, Maria Bianchi Social Care Ministry works to promote ecological balance, safeguard women’s and children’s rights, and uphold equality in education and property. Through continuous efforts in community development, cultural preservation, and peacebuilding, the organization envisions a society rooted in compassion, dignity, and mutual respect.
