Vocational Training Program for Youths
Maria Bianchi Social Care Ministry (MBSCM) conducted a three-month vocational training program in collaboration with the District Adult Literacy Program, reaching multiple villages across Senapati district. A total of 28 unemployed youths, primarily school dropouts, participated to gain practical skills for self-employment and income generation.
The training covered various professions, including cross-stitch, embroidery, shop management, furniture making (tables and chairs), and production of household articles. Resource persons Madam Elizabeth, Mrs. Rinyola, Mr. Michael, and Mr. Hingba guided the participants through hands-on sessions in different villages.
The program was highly effective, empowering participants, especially jobless youths and farmers, to apply their skills in creating new livelihood opportunities. Many participants expressed their commitment to start projects using the knowledge gained from the training.
